Cenografia:Josep Szajna e Jerzy Gurawski
Elenco: Zygmunt Molik, Rena Mireka, Antoni Jaholowski, Zbigniew Cynkutis, Mieczyslaw Janowski e Ryzard Cieslak.

Infelizmente o texto está em polonês.Àqueles que, como eu, não compreendem o idioma, resta apreciar o texto espetacular em sua riqueza imagético-sonora.

Bom apetite.

  • A stunning contribution. From what I understand, one aspect Grotowski's actor training focused on closing the gap between intention and action. Notice at 1:42 how the heads of the people carrying the effigy don't bob up and down, even though the people are obviously stomping. Such focus psychophysical focus seems uncommon in much western theater.

  • That´s just what happens. Grotowski trainning was based on Stanislavski, Meyerhold and oriental theatre principles which intented to create the body-mind unity: we´re body-mind unity, in fact, and spirit, if u agree with S.Thomaz of Aquina, but the verbal theatre, common to the western theatre put the logos over the living act of being, the self: body-mind-spirit as a unity is the aim of Grotowski´s trainning method, as well as Stanislavski and Meyerhold ones.

  • @jefersontorres Thx4post!

St. T Aquinas' teachings are unknown to me-- recommend any readings?

It seems the mindbodyspirit was central Stanislavski's system, but (of course) shed in translation to English. Psychorealism aligned itself so well with mass media (Hollywood, TV) that the body work seemed unnecessary. I think that unless (American) theater realigns itself with the body, it will remain trapped in the logos of human drama and keep thinking it needs to compete with mass entertainment.

  • @kanimalia St. T. Aquina defined the human nature as a trinity - reflection of God´s nature: body-mind-soul. The first is the meat, the carnal human, the second is his mind, where intelect and emotion interact to the body, and the third is his methaphisic principle, the soul which is eternal. These three aspects are one: like the trinity of God. See his Suma Teologica. I agree with u. Theatre is action: body-mind-soul. Without body, there´s no here and now, without mind, there´s no me ...

  • Responder a este vídeo... ... without soul there´s no sense of eternity, which dilates the sense of being: here and now: acting is living.

  • Quien escribio esta obra...who wrote this play?
