Aunty Pahukoa Morse, respected Hawaiian musician and singer, passed away last week. Here she sings her mother's favorite song, accompanied by Lanihuli Lee on the piano, at a casual gathering of friends. As the cold Waimea rain gently patters outside, she sings, "I sit at my window and watch the rain," and her voice fills with feeling.
like a lovely bird
