and honestly, you are telling me that they lied here. you are saying that they have completely lied about the nature of these animals? for what purpose exactly? obviously the farmers have had trouble with them doing these things, and have reported this. come on, it it'll bite a dog, then it'll bite a cow or horse.

Only bothering to write back to you because others may see this. First, did you try googling Pritchard turtles? He's a world renowned expert on turtles and I happen to own his book. Second, I googled that and didn't get anything about them biting pets- but I'm sure they would bite a dog if it was nosing at their face. But a cow is not a dog.
You are right that they don't eat the same fish that people fish for- but most people believe they do. Second, I've seen them eat ducklings in person.

ive already found a link that confirms my point of view, type "snapping turtles biting livestock" on google, first link. it talks about it biting pets on land. this could easily happen with livestock.
and seriously, why would they hire him then? these turtles only eat little baby fish, not the type anybody would fish for in a farm pond and no way its eating a bird

Yes newspapers are never wrong. How would a bottom dwelling animal steal apples or reach a cows uppers. First read Dr Pritchards book on turtles and their behavior. Just google his name and turtles. I can not educate you because you don't want to be educated. I have an explanation turtle boy told the media that turtles do these behaviors and they do not. Why are my facts so ridiculous? I only have done this for an living fro 40 plus years .
