  • They do not record at a trillion frames per second. They record one line at that speed. Recording a line at that speed is very old technology. They have just modified the illumination so that the single lines can be recombined. It's a nice bit of instrument control, but not anything particularly new. It is a technological demonstration based on old hardware. All hail the new kings of hype!
