This is common and easily perpetrated in the LDS church because members are taught to be obedient and trust in the Spirit.( Spirit = Believe what we say no matter how stupid or wrong it may seem to you , afterall you will still be blessed for following a falsehood).

It seems The Spirit was telling them that its OK to invest in Shawn Merrimans Scam because he is a church member and can be trusted.

I too trusted my Priesthood Leaders and my Branch President and he STOLE all my lifes savings. He also STOLE members TITHES and OFFERINGS. He went to JAIL for all this.

I still had some debts because of him when I went on my MISSION in England and had to rely on the goodness of other church members who helped pay for my 18 months Mission.

I met lots of nice people and especially we had one wonderful investigator.

Trouble is when he found out about the church on the Internet he was getting concerned. Even my best efforts to deceive him with my False Missionary Love Bombing and many FALSE PROMISES could not change the facts he found out......

I didn't know about The Head In A Hat and Garden Stone Translation. I had been a member for around 17 years at this time since my baptism at age 19 and I was always taught that he used The Urim and Thummim which came in the Box with The Gold Plates.

In fact I didn't know anything loking back. I thought the church was being Honest and Truthful and now I find out Joseph Smith was marrying other mens wives and also teen girls aged 14 , that Brigham Young taught The ADAM-GOD doctrine and now The Curse Of Cain thing too!

Anyway I managed to deal with all this by SHUNNING our favourite Investigator and asking him to STOP Communicating with me. My Bishop advised me so he must be RIGHT?? Right ??? Just like my Branch president I believe these men are speaking to me from God.

It must be all a test from God. There must be a reason why I get ripped off as a church member and these Priesthood Leaders are speaking CRAPPOLA! JOLA LOLA..

After my mission I was 'blessed' for my obedience to the church with employment from a businessman church member in the UK and it was ILLEGAL ! No suprises there !! But thats another story.

We are not perfect. We take after Joseph Smith the biggest Fraudster ever.

PS Brigham Young did nicely too as a church leader. Just look at The WEALTH he amassed as Prophet of The Church.

The News Item/Video is about a Prominent LDS leader/Bishop who screwed gullible members for their money. Kind of like Joseph Smith used to do.

Where was Priesthood Discernment while this guy was ripping his fellow church members off? Just another man made delusion that serves a few megalomaniacs well.
