Anthony Callea (who was then playing Boq in Wicked, Melbourne) and The National Boys' Choir of Australia sing Ave Maria at Vision Australia's Carols By Candlelight, Melbourne, Christmas Eve 2008.

The evening is an established Australian Christmas tradition organised by Vision Australia, which raises funds for and supports people with low vision. Entertainers work for nothing, it's always televised live and is one of the biggest broadcasts of its kind in the world.

I agree he should be heard everywhere, which is the reason for this channel, but it's a particularly hard struggle for Australian artists, especially if they don't fit a neat pigeon-hole. I'll never forget watching this on that evening as it was a few short weeks after my mother passed and I had to make an emergency trip back to Australia. The past two and a half years were such a struggle. The recession also hit and I finally came out too. I can't believe I got through it all. I must have gone back to this specific clip at leat fifty times since then. I am now finally in a better place.
