  • So I have the same exact tv with the same problem, I just ordered capacitors but I have no idea what to do when I get them, could you explain or even make a video on how to put the capacitors in? It looks like I'm going to have to buy a soldering iron..

  • @TheAlexCrossman You're gonna have to buy a desoldering iron along with a soldering iron. Every capacitor has two leads, one is positive and one is negative. You put them in the same way they come out, if you mess up then you'll have even more problems on your hands. But you use your desoldering iron to remove the solder from the back of the board (the solder trace side) Soldering is easy, but I would recommend practicing on some old junk circuit boards first. (an old clock, radio or something)

  • so next i asked him if i bring you the circuit board and point out the caps i want replaced what would the cost be?$25.00 for the labor .. 3.50 each for small caps & 7.50 for large caps ...all in all total was $53.50 .took the board home ..put it all back together...crossed my fingers ..plugged it in and ...wow it works like new...just think i was gonna junk it and spend 300 to 400 dollars for a new one ...thanks guy you saved me some cash

  • .2 days ago my vizio 32 inch took a dump...click click click ....dump..since im getting some tax money my thought was just buy a new one...but then i typed in "vizio wont turn on "and found several videos but liked yours the best...wow my thanks to you... i opened my tv ....saw five caps popped up as you described...im not a great sodering guy so i called my local tv repair guy first got a quote to fix the tv $160.00 ..

  • @godisincontrolalways The shelf life issue is irrelevant for a 5-year storage cycle. Anything sold by major distributors is new production. Don't buy caps for this application from surplus sellers - stick to newark/digikey/mouser.

Further, I recommend spending a tiny bit more money on Low ESR capacitors for the 3300uf part. This part takes alot of ripple current.A tiny bit more money ($1.00 ea versus 30 cents) gets you a better part. I like the Panasonic HE series for 3300uF

  • I would like to know if these capacitors have a similar shelf life as a battery does? What is the shelf life of a capacitor? I'm asking this because I wouldn't want to purchase a supply of them if they eventually go bad without having ever been used. Thank you....bluenorthernski@yahoo.com

  • go to ebay and get them for .99 cent and free shipping

  • is there a pos and neg on the Radial Electrolytic Capacitor i have to fix my lcd power suply

  • I need more details..im sorry but you are not giving me enough..you kinda suck.can u make a video on how to install them

  • Im currently on mouser.com and the information is very valuble. My only problem is that for the ordering of the capacitor, its asking me for tolerance pF level. Can you tell me what the tolerance level is because the website is very specific. Thanxxx!

  • my tv the light turn on and off but the screen won't turn on

  • i have the same problem and today i changed 3 capacitors, but the tv still off, what else do you think can be the problem. i was 3 capacitor bad.
