Winter seems to have been on hold this year in some parts of the United States. Snowfall has been scarce in places that were overwhelmed with the white stuff at the same time last year. In this ScienceCast, JPL climatologist Bill Patzert explains what's going on.

  • 2 reasons ONLY? come on...

What about the 5% of Earth population (usa) representing 25% of Co2 production on it????

    I love this embarrassed silence....

  • @TheRealGeriBoss Well, General Motors (the guys makeing the moon car) does in vehicle construction for about 16 years.

  • same problem here in southern Finland, the winter began very late in december(normally in early november) and now we have plenty of snow but lowest temperature has been about -10 degrees celsius, normally -30 degrees clsius, this is not a normal...

  • That photo of the "one-lane snow canyon" highway outside Cordova is shocking. So much snow.

  • @MrPseudo ...Transparent? Open? Really?! Obviously, the tactics of deception and misdirection are effective on the majority of the population, including yourself, otherwise they would not be in use.

Be a cow if you want. I will not join the herd not be impressed or influenced by the Collective.

    Enjoy your ignorance.

  • @honogica Of course it's a U.S. government agency. Just because it says "Administration" in its name does not mean it is not an agency.

And the U.S. government does a fairly good job at being transparent and open. Just because there are a few people within government who have a personal habit of lying, doesn't mean you should paint the whole government as sharing that habit.
