Awesome Idea, I need to show this to my wife so she can do this toour daughters and her sisters sleeping bags. I myself stand 6 foot and when they say the bag is made for someone my height I have found it to be not really the truth so I go a size up with extra room in the bottom, this could come in handy for me as well, thanks for this Tip and a great video!

Good Idea. I am 5'11 and never needed to do this but I have seen others on the trail that could use this tip. Your body is heating up a little smaller space. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments :) I think this idea could also come in handy for lending your kids a good sleeping bag for a trip rather than going out and buying a walmart special. This way, they can sleep warm, without the weight of a lesser quality bag. I would like to see more teens loving and appreciating the wilderness experience so that our natural treasures will be protected for future generations.
