This is a Moriya hot air or stirling engine. It was originally designed by Dr. James Senft and re-created by myself on a Mini Lathe and Mill. It runs on propane gas and would run for days off a cylinder.

  • extremely smooth runner. does it have a graphite power piston? Also if, you used a candle it would leave a good amount of soot behind. anyway great engine

  • It has an aluminum piston in a brass cylinder. I lubricate it with a small amount of graphite powder. I like the propane because it is very clean.

  • I wanted to try something different on this engine. The propane is very convienent too.
