Battlestar Firing

The first shot in a little side-animation I've been working on. Biggest confirmation of something I already knew was a good idea- render in passes. Lots of passes. It wasn't until I saw the full composite that it sunk in that I'd made the fall-off distance for the lights from the shells too small. Since I'd rendered those out separately from the rest of the scene, it took minutes to render an improved version instead of hours.

@SPACECRUISER96 The Galactica is a Columbia class Battlestar. The Pegasus, just so ya know, is a Mercury class Battlestar. Love both designs, though I have to go with Mercury class for my Flagship.

@ProjectRealism Errr... No, not really... I remember once in the episode "33" Where we get a shot of Galactica moving past the camera on the Starboard side and we can see them fire a few shots before the ship jumps. Boy your really bringing out the nerd in me!

@ProjectRealism You fool! Galactica has 4 cannons underneath the mouth in the front of the ship! They are they same as the 8 on the top and bottom! :D
