This is the first YouTube comment I've ever left and I'm leaving it because I found this video so inspiring. As a sex educator, I know many of these concepts can seem complex to people, but you've illustrated these ideas beautifully and with great clarity. I can't wait to share this with others.

Having lots of sex and being in-tune/open with sexuality and pleasure DOES NOT equate to "lol imma have tons of sex with random people and never use protection." In fact, most extremely sex-positive people emphasize the use of condoms, birth control, and other safe sex techniques. This video has nothing to do with the risks of sexual contact, it has to do with the negative attitude our culture has toward sexuality. So hush and learn something, christ.

This is why one of my closest friends spent years having all sorts of casual sex, from flings, to one night stands, to orgies, and then settled down in her 30s to marry a man that she loves, treasures, respects, and has lots and lots of monogamous, faithful sex with. Oh wait, that's not what you're saying. Damn it, I guess she doesn't love him after all.

The fundamental problem with this video is that it ignores basic human biology. You cannot turn off the bonding hormones that are released during sex nor turn them back on when after being too promiscuous.

I am a musician and appreciate this metaphor & the focus of this message. However, I am also a therapist who works with people who do not well recognize the distinction between healthy and unhealthy sex, and who are not skilled at "calculating risk". These folks tend to confuse sex with love, risk with intensity, & tend to be emotionally distant, incongruent, & selfish in pursuit of pleasure. I can see many of these folks using the information to justify their unhealthy sexual behavior.

The world needs more of this wisdom. I've been imagining a world where people think like this for some time. It's a shame we get so caught up in our unreasonable rules and regulations and don't notice we're just making up problems where there's nothing wrong.
