This was a local March of Dimes Telethon broacast live from Resorts International Casino in Atlantic City. My piano player (BC - Before Cheryl) is Rich "The Gag" Gagliano. We were performing together in NJ at the time at Mamie O'Rourke's in Highland Park. He was a great friend, golf buddy and piano player! We had already done a couple of numbers earlier in the evening and then went down to the Casino to play the slots. A few hours later at 3AM they came and got us because another act didn't show up - so we had to be rushed up to the TV studio to perform. Notice at the end of "It Seems Like Old Times" Richie immediately goes into the introduction to "You Made Me Love You". I didn't know he was going to do this, but he gives me the eye and we continue without a hitch.

  • Thanks for posting... this is awesome...

I remember you because you did this a few times...

    Memories...

    I was 11.....

My dad Bob Davies supplied the television crews for the MOD. The crews were made up of his TV production students at Atlantic City High School.

The MOD was always the highlight of my year as a kid.

My dad passed away last summer. Pinky was at his funeral. He loved the MOD.

    Thanks...

  • Wow! What a great memory considering you were only 11 at the time. I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but glad that this video brings back happy memories for you. God bless you.

  • @patton303 Your post is 3 years old, are you still on Youtube? I'd really love to "pick your brain" a bit. I was b'71 & spent summers/Easter vacation in A.C. from 1981-83. (my stepfather worked @ Resorts Int.). I can't really seem to find ANY information about A.C. during that time frame. No pics, articles, nothing. I have so many fond A.C. memories. Do you remember all the arcades on the Boardwalk? Planters Peanut factory, any old/abandoned but now gone, hotels/shops, etc? Do tell plz!

  • I'm actually a pro musician too...

I have a few drumming vids on my channel...

I live in Colorado now but AC will always be home... God Bless Back Atcha....
