A look back at public school music in Coral Gables, Florida in the 1950's. A tribute to Mr. Jesse Blum, Ponce de Leon Jr High band director, Mr. Edwin T. Cook and Mr. Paul Cremaschi, band and orchestra directors at Coral Gables High and the student musicians in those organizations.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I'm in my first year as the director of bands at coral gables high school and there is much to rebuild. The band marched only 27 winds and percussion this Year and we Are working hard to get the numbers back to where they once were. It's encouraging for my students to see what they are a part of and what other classes have accomplished. Thanks.
