@jetblackhair92 Polynesian women generally have very thick hair but since the invasion of the asian to Hawaii, it wouldn't surprise me if they've had to tease it or thicken it in some manner.

do you guys even undestand what they judge on? Through anyones eyes another halau may have been better, but it depends on what the judges see, if they can see that the halau understands the song and is proud, through technical stuff it all counts on the facial expression kahea and foot work. reasons why halaus didnt win first are unknown. so dont hate on other halaus PLEASE, its wrong just love the hula & keep trying.
