the translation of the latin word "rapiemur" is also rapture. so the verse you quote could look like: "...and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be raptured (or "caught up") together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." you jump to another issue after this verse. who are those that are going to meet the Lord in the clouds?

@pgpeachess once again...PAY ATTENTION TO THE VERSES BEFORE THAT...PAUL EVEN TELLS YOU...be not IGNORANT OF THE FACT that if you believe the DEAD in Christ......etc......THE VERSE IS TALKING ABOUT THE DEAD...the dead go up and see CHRIST in Heaven...where do you get the word REPIMUR? lol where in the world is that in the bible? Also why are you bringing up LATIN words when the bible was written in 3 different languages...HEBREW, ARAMAIC, AND GREEK...NO LATIN!

Why does no one mention Luke 17:21 "For the kingdom of God is within you" (Jesus speaking) He specifically says NOT to look for the kingdom externally, but inside yourself. This is also stated in the Gospel of Thomas, which is a lost gospel.

You failed to mention ANY of JESUS' words on the subject! "And HE will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens." Why would he say this if we are all "asleep" and either in the ground or on the ground dead??? Be careful..Remember what revelation says about adding or taking away from these words. When HE comes, whether alive or dead, HE will gather HIS elect.

@LostProphecy777 The Latin rapiemur is Saint Jerome's translation of the Koine Greek verb ἁρπαγησόμεθα [harpagesometha], which means "we shall be caught up," "taken away," or "raptured." The dictionary form of this Greek verb is harpazō (ἁρπάζω), which is used only in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 and Acts 8:38.[8] (wikipedia). and it's only the dead. read again: "WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN..." i think someone is clouding your mind.

I have had it with all the "opinions" flashing around , all influenced by the same propaganda machine that encourages people to argue over trivialities and never even get close to the real issues that beset mankind; GREED and AVARICE and EGO (a form of overwrought PRIDE). I refuse to recognize those who have been murdered by the technological weaponry of any nation, war, or the pestillance wrecked on them by biological warfare, by believing that their deaths were God's will! It's an abberation to think of massive death as being "saved" and returning to God! This is the double-speak of the NWO! The NWO is older than any bible you can cite! One may be murdered or die, but they will return to God only if their souls are pure. Got that????!!!!!!

Why would anyone allow to be publicized what they do for others when it is clear that they have amassed fortunes beyond imagination and most others are denied by discrimination? EGO and GREED. Nothing more.
