That's one whole side of a MOUNTAIN just sliding away like nobody's business...

I came to this from the story of Harry Truman (not the president), who lived near the volcano. For months friends, family, scientists and government people advised and begged him to leave his cabin, "the mountain ain't gonna hurt me" he said.

Then one day he was buried under a wall of lava and rock moving at hundreds of miles an hour.

What a powerful story of human spirit and defiance, also what an idiot.

There is no video of the eruption, just a lone photographer who was up there taking some photos of the mountain. He just happened to take some photos during the blast and through CG they morphed each picture to the next making it look fluid.
