not sure if you're retarded or just trolling. Normal guns would just shoot a hole in the jug with minimal splash. 470 destroys the bucket and sends water a good 10 feet in the air. Don't believe me? Try shooting an elephant with a 40 pistol, good luck.

@NastyBuilt What you hunt in Africa with a 40 Pistol? what the fuck is a 40 pistol? Its like saying a 45. Are you gonna go up to an elephant with a .40 something cartage and prod it? Specifics and proof are something we need, all you end up doing is either graze shots or wound the animal causing you to hunt it down and finish the job. If I recall a pissed off elephant is harder to stop then a pissed off Coyote.

@Douglas12982 It does have odd ballistics, it was designed as a fast replacement for the 450 N.E. when certain countries like Ethiopia and India banned its use (and ownership I think). The 450 was and is a awesome round for elephant and cape buffalo. While the 470 makes a great stopping rifle as you said, it was designed for elephant and hippo.
