This is a TF Source video review of TakaraTomy Ehobby Masterpiece MP-1B Black Convoy.

The black repaint is a Japanese tradition that has spanned many toylines including transformers. it is a custom normally reserved for the most important or recognizable of characters in robot stories. In Transformers, this tradition began with a black version of Takara's year 2000 reissue of G1 Convoy released as a Jafcon exclusive. It has since been simply dubbed Jafcon Prime.

Since this first black repaint, almost each mold of Optimus Prime has gotten the black repaint treatment and variety of identities have sprung from these repaints including characters like Scourge, Nemesis Prime, and Black Convoy. The black repaints have become so commonplace that when a new mold depicting Optimus Prime appears, a black repaint is sure to follow within a year. That was not the case with 2003's Masterpiece Convoy. Many customizers took the creation of a 12" black version of Optimus prime into their own hands, as it seemed the toy would never see the light of day. But for those that have persevered after almost 6 years, an official Black Masterpiece Convoy has become a reality via TakaraTomy's E-hobby online store.

hi tf source on tf source the masterpice convoy is to high on the price when i first saw him i feel my search was over i had finaly find it but then i see the price and i told my daddy if i could get one of those that didn't was all that expensive and i find one on ebay but one of them took it in the last minute and then i saw it one tf source but the price was to high and i wondred if you could put the price down please i realy whant this figure.
