  • Seems to me that Bruce is more like Obama here, what with treating the American people like they were adult and all.

  • @Applemask Batman basically had faith in the voters intelligence which was a big leap of faith as well as a big risk as people in Gotham City have proven in the past in that series how easily they can be tricked PLUS the polls kept saying how the majority favored the Penguin to win......

  • Seems like Penguin is more like Obama, what with all his slick slogans,

Is not President Obama, say things, like "Hope", "Change"...Gag me with a spoon!!!

  • Hey Penguin I believe there's a rule in politics: NO PROFESSONALS

  • great episode!

  • I agree with Batman's philosophy on politics.

    SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Still, it looked for a while like the people of Gotham City were idiots and would fall for Penguin's supreme con job in SPITE of what Batman's done for Gotham City and what crimes Penguin's committed against the people of Gotham City.

Luckily, Batman was proven right in the end as he actually won the election!

Looks like everyone went to Penguin's party but most of them voted for Batman! lol!

The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre -- the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.

The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality.
