This Sunday, thousands are expected to descend onto Washington D.C. to protest the approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Nobel peace prize recipients, top scientists, celebrities, and lawmakers have all asked President Obama to deny the permit for the Pipeline. Numerous reports have shown conflicts of interest between state department employees and TransCanada lobbyists. So could this Sunday be a turning point or will the EPA, the State Department, and the President give in to industry pressure? Bill McKibben founder of Tar Sands Action discusses.

  • lol..did anybody expect that Obama wouldn't approve this ?? he like most of the congress is bought..no way will the oil and bankers not get their way..too much money involved.. he'll justify it by saying it will create jobs and it is a matter of national security..is the review process surprising ? it happens all the time..corporations rig the governmental review process and then hire the government employees..Obama is just as much bought as anyone else in the white house

  • Don't want our oil?

No problem, China pays great anyway.

  • oh and... Hey Bill McGreenycommunist do you think sending ships over to the middle east to supply america's oil is less impacting on the evironment?? I'll tell ya. IT"S NOT!!! you idiot! Plus it doesn't help your country at all by canceling this project. But it will happen no matter what so i'm not worried.

  • Worst decision Obama has ever made.

  • we are lost... I'm an electrician, and we've no answer to our wage needs here in Florida.

How do I pay my bills with no commercial/industrial building's goin up withing my city?

How come out-of-state contractors keep showing up here in panama city to build on federaly funded jobs!?

  • where are our jobs!!?

I heard it was denied, please up-date me.

  • Obama will approve of the pipeline around August... just in time for elections. People will think "What a wonderful president", and vote him back in office, which is exactly what he wants.
