to be hit by (st) = to be struck by (st)

Examples:

Shame on you! =恥を知れ!

この恥知らず!= (a person who has no shame) He is a shameless man.

みっともない!= Shame on you!

For shame!=formal way to say "Shame on you!"

自然災害{しぜん さいがい}、天災{てんさい}、不可抗力{ふか こうりょく}

  • I don't use insanitary too much but it means

    非衛生的{ひ えいせい てき}な.

    I usually use "unsanitary"

    They are basically the same.

  • Hey Victor, fantastic learning experience you give here. I don't speak a lick of Japanese but I have a few Japanese friends I try to help out. I've pointed them to this site.

    Small question, have you ever done a lesson on the expression: "Beggars can't be choosers." When I said that it caused a sputter of Japanese as they tried to figure it out (before they final asked me). Sorry to step on your toes in your fine learning arena!

  • Hey victor, cool vid like always. Now, what i have to say about burma just really gets me, I happen to have friends from there. Burma has a military government or dictatorship, and this kind of governmet, as you "probly" or likely know, witch has no shame. sorry for the bad english. Free Burma.
