happy trails, brightkite

as Brightkite draws to an end as we know it, I made a video to say goodbye to my friends. Except, we're not saying goodbye! we're saying "until we meet again" because we will meet again. Thanks to location sharing, pictures and posts, we've grown to know each other intimately like no other site before. We've checked in at Playboy Mansion (sprouticus!), hospitals, grandparents house, mother in law's house, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and yes, even a few businesses. Brightkite, as it was formed, really did make people, places, friends. We formed trust and intimacy with these check ins and pictures of our family, friends, children and homes. Thank you Martin May and Brady Becker for founding Brightkite. We may seem gushy and emotional but we are a family, an international family, a global community. We dont want to text, we want to share.

It sure was a shame to see it go! I met lots of really nice people through Brightkite. I tend to use twitter more but I don't feel I know the folks on twitter anywhere near
