This was a Top 40s hit sung by someone whom most people didn’t really connect with as the singer in their minds: the (sadly) late, great Jim Henson.
In most people’s minds, Kermit the Frog sang this. But Jim Henson was Kermit. We remember Jim as the man who gave us Kermit and the other Muppets, and as a wonderful entertainer and great creative mind, but few really realize that he was also a Top 40s hit singer (as Kermit).
