In March 1989 four Danish rock bands toured the Soviet republics of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The bands were the already legendary punk rock outfit Sort Sol, the ambitious art pop ensemble The Poets (in the following years also known as The Sealand Poets in the US and Canada), the death metal quintet Artillery and the rock quartet NRG.

The concerts and the back stage life which resulted in official banning and deportation of the four bands is shown through the view point of THe Poets and Sort Sol due to the fact I myself filmed this and participated in this youthful adventure as a light engineer for The Poets and generally knew members of Sort Sol better than I did for instance Artillery. Please, enjoy
