  • hm..wow,the vocals really suck in this one..was he sick? it sounds like he loses his voice quite a lot of times

  • Ian's a shell of his former powerhouse voice,no tone just yapping the lyrics, what a shame cause they are my fav group

  • Started hiring a long time ago at school, just wonderfull.

  • ian sure doesnt have the same power he used to, but you gotta give the guy a break. the way he sang before he was pushing ALOT of air, he had a powerful voice. everyone gets old I guess

  • think the sound guy is pastd out er sumtin.....

  • i saw them a few years ago at a hit and miss show ... this is what happens to singers when they get old and out of shape ... doesnt happen to all ... just those who let themselves go ... he needs a singing/breathing coach or they wont even last on the touring cirucit

  • It's really a shame. The Cult is so much more capable than this.

  • @touffmorrison Sadly, you're right. Whatever the reason was, his voice on this song is pretty much gone. Just as 'Rain' on this very concert. Which highlights the problem of the vocalist, who sooner or later is the one really affecting live performances, as their voices tend to go away. Something that does not affect this bad the other members.

  • singer is so underated

  • All of his lyrics are chopped up like this now. Sad

  • rocks!!!

  • are you kidding me? he sounds amazing. I think they sound better today than in the 80's and early 90s. obviously all these amazing songs (not just firewoman) were wrote in the 80's, but he Ian Astbury doesn't get enough credit as one of the all time greats...he is. check out his song Ghost with Slash...keep rockin folks
