It's not "RAY-chell" it's pronounced "ra-SHELL" by Yank and everyone in Indy who knew him.

Not necessarily so. Sheen Rachell says that people down south would say "ray-chell" and people up north would say "ra-shell." I've heard both used, including by Yank.
