  • What is this type of glass? Is it an old lamp glass? You know the ones that are put over a candle? Please tell me.

  • Yes! This was an old oil lamp.

  • how can u tell if the co2 is being properly dissolved and the plants are taking it in? i see in many shops that the plants give out little bubbles of oxygen but i dont see any in mine

  • You need lots of light and fertilizers for the pearling effect. Usually an aquarium with bubbling plants is right on the limit of what is possible and also very hard to maintain into a stable state. If you are a beginner good plant growth and no algae are what you should strive for.

  • Where did you get the glass piece? Is it actually an oil lamp?

  • Yes. It is the glass from a oil lamp.

  • Damn that thing is enormous. Regular Co2 diffusers are pretty effecient already, personally I don't see the benefit of adding such a scene killer to my aquarium just for a little extra gas.

  • No because the plants give off O2 as they use the CO2.

  • doesnt look nice.

  • What is the name of the grass like plant in the back?

  • @godzilar35 you can but id wonder why besides making a cretain look as in theme for your tank sand usally gets moved about a far bit by in tank currents from pumps and such and if your using a pump that sits lower in the tank the is the poss ability of sand being sucked in and you will require cleaning the pump but there is ways around that so overall yes you can but it has to be sand that doesn't contain salt

  • @AussiePrideCrew ok thanks can i mex gravel and sand in the tank

  • @godzilar35 yeah 10 hour's is alot try using a wet cloth and just removing it the old fashion way with some elbow grease :)

  • @AussiePrideCrew i only have a crown tail betta in their right now i was planig on geting pleco

the water temp is tropical because i have some plants in their i allso just made a co2 diffusion

and its and it gets like 10-hours of lite witch im guessing it to much thanks

  • @godzilar35 what kind of fish do you have also what temp is the water ? im guessing it gets abit of sunlight either from the real sun or lighting ? use a algae removal product but i warn you it may knock about your fish best solution is to buy a pleco they are algae eaters
