Aldesterone is produced by adrenal glands. If the body needs salt adrenals release more adesterone - salt is re-absorbed from the tubule.

Lack of Aldesterone - result in low sodium levels . High pottasium levels: High acid levels in blood.

aldosterone is released when there is hyponatremia, hyperkalemia, hypotension , excess angiotensin or renin release. It doesnt mean that low sodium diet are useless, its a lifestyle modification for hypertensives, aldosterone has nothing to do with it.

yes it helps the reabsobtion of NA+(by activating the pompes NA+/K+ ATPases) and h2o (by activating the aquaporines) and also the elimination of K+ .I like scientific animations it's so easy to understand and it doesn't take much time.thanks keep it up.long life and health to the world.

pochlomin ..u r right ..actually the angiotensin II stimulates release of aldosterone..which causes sodium retention along with water which goes passively and causes release of potassium..

I thought aldosterone hold salt and release potassium instead? Isn't aldosterone trigger from angiotensin II?

No... the Anti diuretic hormone is the one that concentrates the urine with salt, not the aldosterone or renin or angiotensin. Or why would you say the urine is concentrated?, is it because there is less water in it?
