For thousands of years, migrating fish have made the same journey up Floridas Apalachicola River to their historic spawning and feeding grounds in the Flint and Chattahoochee rivers. But for the last 50 years, the Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam at the Georgia border has blocked this ancient route. Recently, The Nature Conservancy and its partners found a simple solution to help navigate spawning fish through the structure a solution that is having a regional impact on freshwater conservation.
