is this the lifestlyle that pulled many Brits over to Oz? I have been to Oz and it truly is GREAT. Was it even better in the 1960s/

  • @Seattlecarnut It's nice, come to Jervis bay, we have the whitest beach. (apparently it's whiter than white sands in Queensland)

  • I'd love to eventually visit Australia, and possibly live in Australia.

  • Ten pound poms were British and some western european migrants to Australia who would only pay £10 to go there. The Australian government paid the rest of their fair provided they stayed at least two years.

  • I have lived in sydney for three years and wish we still had the ten pound Pom scheme.
