is this the lifestlyle that pulled many Brits over to Oz? I have been to Oz and it truly is GREAT. Was it even better in the 1960s/

@Seattlecarnut It's nice, come to Jervis bay, we have the whitest beach. (apparently it's whiter than white sands in Queensland)

Ten pound poms were British and some western european migrants to Australia who would only pay £10 to go there. The Australian government paid the rest of their fair provided they stayed at least two years.

I have lived in sydney for three years and wish we still had the ten pound Pom scheme.
