佐保明梨 - Akari Saho [ Shugo Chara Egg! ]

Akari Saho was one of 32 winners chosen from 10,570 applicants in the search for talent for a new group called Hello! Pro Egg in June 2004.

Akari replaced Ayumi Yutoku in Tomoiki Ki Wo Uetai (We Want To Plant Trees) in November 2007, although this group is largely inactive.

Shugo Chara Egg! formed in late 2008 with Akari Saho, Ayaka Wada, Yuuka Maeda and Kanon Fukuda, when they were announced they were to be singing the opening theme song of the anime series Shugo Chara!! Doki (season 2). At the start of season 3, the lineup changed. Akari stayed with Shugo Chara Egg! while Ayaka, Yuuka and Kanon left to form S/mileage. Akari was soon joined by Irori Maeda, Mizuki Fukumura and new recruit Nanami Tanabe. They sang the theme for the anime portion, Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki, while appearing in live action segments as characters from the anime.

In 2009 Akari replaced Reina Tanaka in a new version of Aa! for compilation albums and concert appearances.

Akari has been a backup dancer in Erina Mano's music videos "Haru No Arashi", "Onegai Dakara..." and "Genkimono De Ikou!" She is the only Egg to appear in all three.
