  • how do u work out the equation if the question states that the pressure or temperature is a constant ?

  • @ronanmartin49 if something is constant, that means it stays the same from beginning to end. so if pressure is 24 atm and it's constant, that means that P1=24 atm, and P2=24 atm also. for more information about this, i highly recommend you watch my video called "Which Gas equation Do I Use?" it should answer all your questions.

  • How did you Calculate please HELP me!!

  • @shaheen1990 you multiply everything together on top, and then multiply everything together on the bottom. then you divide the top by the bottom. in other words, the math you do is: (277 x 1.00 x 40.0) / (298 x 11.00). does that make sense?

  • @tdewitt451

    my answer came out to 3.35

    1.00 x 40.0/ 298 = 11.00 (V2) / 277 0.134/ 0.040 = 0.040/ 0.040 (V2)

     V2= 3.35

    Using my method the anwser is realitively the same to 3.38. Right?

  • @MrQuickSqueez yeah, you can do it that way, but it's not as accurate. the reason why is there are more math steps your way than the way i show in the video. so you divide and/or multiply at three different steps in this, but in the video, i arrange everything and then do all the math at once. so know that your method works, but the answer you get will often be a little less accurate than if you arranged the whole equation and then did all the math in one step. make sense?

  • I have spent the past 6 months trying to work out and get it in my head. After watching your video, I can now actually understand it. Fantastic teaching. Thank you.

  • @irrelevantification was it mach? XD

  • This is such a helpful video! In my class, we have to report an assigned chemistry topic each (I really think my teacher just became lazy to teach this term), which we have to present by pair. Because of this video, I now understand it completely!

    What I was actually really stumbling on though was deriving the correct formula to get the missing variable. However, you explained it perfectly. Thank you!

  • you would think my chemistry teacher would teach this considering shes the HEAD of the department but no have to resort to youtube! Thanks so much for providing this info!

  • Thanks Aloot sir, It helps alot, i have been in my chemistry class for 2 days on same thing but didn't understand, Watching your video actually helps alot, thanks again

  • You ROCK!!! :o)

  • nice..
