I've been with my lover for a year and a half, We're still going to be apart for 3 more years. And Our drive is about 18 hours. So 2-3 hours would be heaven for us!

I wanted to say that long distance relationships do work! Me and my OH were at uni at different ends of the country - I was here in Bedford and he was about 170 miles away in Hull (Thats like 2-3 hours by car!) We were together for 6 months then we got engaged then like two years later we got married (so ok that is kinda the drastic way round but my cousin is also in a long distance relationship - he's in Bedford and his girlf is in Canterbury at University (which i think is like 2hours away)
