Cathy Oke from the Greens was one of 3 City of Melbiourne Councilors that attended the Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner commemoration in 2012 which is pushing for a permanent memorial to be built in the memory of the two executed aboriginal freedom fighters. Cathy has attended and supported these commemorations the last few years.
