This short lesson on using a delay effect made popular by Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie and others is simple and hopefully sparks your creativity. Experiment and most importantly, have fun!

  • Wow man...this is really helpful (^_^) thanks for the tips!

  • @AmoryMuerte1

I'm glad you liked it and found it useful!

  • Ywngie does something very similar to this called Echo Etude. It's even more similar considering you are using a strat.

  • @jonw82 yessir! Pretty much the same setup I'm just using a different Marshall, a vintage 2210. The 2210 model cranked sounds pretty much like Cacophony's Speed Metal Symphony. \m/

  • Very good lesson! It helped a lot! Now I know what the guys are doing!

  • @ThePreciousguitar87 I've always been psyched to learn something new and I'm happy to hear you did!

  • cool

  • Sorry to be a snob but you'r not playing twice as fast. You are playing 50% more notes, not 100%. If you doubled the time, the delayed notes would be played back on TOP of the new notes you played not IN BETWEEN them. If that makes sense. Just so people don't get confused when trying to replicate it. This is one of my favorite effects haha so i've thought about it before

  • Impossible on a 335...

  • @blackmetalrockdeath ahahahahah Me too xDxD

  • Great man! Hey everyone check out my channel.

  • wow, absolut great lesson, !! May I ask you how, what for a delay you used, is that a special pedal or is it your amp ? btw. That's a Malmsteen strat isn't it ? great man just great best greetings
