  • I think the last time I saw COC was one time they were opening for Metallica. I have always liked COC; even though they have changed their style quite a bit.

I did go and check out those VSD songs and they were pretty heavy. They were more metal but you could tell they were at least a little influenced by punk or hardcore. Worth checking out.

  • Agreed on all counts. I was so disappointed they changed. Very influential band. There hardcore period is sometimes forgotten about due to the lame attempt at Southern Sabbath.

  • the worst crowd ever....wtf,was a sleeping pills party?

  • @hannababalon

There was also "Snake Nation," which was Woody and Mike with a different drummer. It was recorded a year or so after Mike quit CoC. It's wierd, sorta later Black Flag sounding shit. Search "SNAKE NATION - Beautiful hills" here on youtube.

Yes. I have the Ugly Americans LP.

  • @HOC666

Neil Young said "it's better to BURN out than to fade away." I'm glad someone liked the cheap Sabbath stuff.

  • @HOC666 i dont blame them for changing their sound. in the words of Niel young "its better to sell out then fade away"

and i like the southern sabbath sound they did

  • @HOC666 ive been there thru the 80s on. its sad to watch bands do the same thing for 30 years. im glad they changed

  • Anybody remember Ugly Americans? Death record linup with Sinister simon bob who went on to coc for technocracy, hard to find their stuff

  • Good to see them playing some old stuff. I really like COC. I saw them open for Slayer in like'84 at the Loft in Baltimore. Enjoy some unheard of old school metal from Baltimore's VSD on here. VSD- Conformity Sucks, Mental breakdown, Kill Your Kids, and 2 other songs.

  • Hey, ya know, I'm not too crazy about the stuff their doing now, but I'm glad to see they haven't forgotten where they come from. "The best thing about skinheads is that they're biodegradable" HAHAHA!
