It had not escaped my notice that although my video clip on electrical connections for a home made air compressor has had many hits, it has also been slagged as a poor video.
I hope this one is more helpful.
But again, I have to say if you are not happy working with mains electrical devices, do not attempt this.
I have worked in the refrigeration/air conditioning trade for 37 years. That was after a 4 years Ministry of Technology electrical/mechanical engineering course with day-release to Bournemouth's College of Technology to attend courses in Radio and Line Transmissions,Computers "A" ,and Fabrication Engineering Craft Practice 4.
And I still make mistakes! The capacitors on these condensing units hold their charge for a long time.Even after disconnecting from the mains, they are quite capable of giving you a "boot into the middle of next week".So. OK.There's a good TV show on then. But it hurts!
