In der Schwüle der Nacht kreuzen sich die Wege eines Liebespaares auf Diebestour, eines koreanischen Killers, zweier unfähiger Bankräuber, eines jungen Mädchens auf der Suche nach seiner Mutter und eines masochistischem Waffendealers. Am Ende der Dunkelheit steht ein Showdown, der das Wort „Gewalt neu definiert...
Der Film des japanischen Kultregisseurs Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer) basiert lose auf dem knallharten Konsolengame Yakuza. Die kunstvoll verwobenen, aufeinander zulaufenden Handlungsstränge und die schonungslose, rasante Darstellung der choreographierten Gewalt erinnern an Quentin Tarantino Klassiker wie Pulp Fiction und Kill Bill.

i love how this movie doesn't give a rats arse about the story but shows so much of the gameplay: stamina drink, stomping finish, subplots, etc. it's like takashi miike is shouting: "games can be art!".

they do have in english in english dub you have to rent or buy it
