@dstone215 Also, technically when the English (and French before them) settled here in Canada, they could well have just taken over the area entirely and said "We conquered you, so this land is OURS now. Deal with it or leave" as has happened in some states to the south.

It is sad that the only two comments on this significant issue are "this is spam". This land is their land not the governments. The Lubicon Cree are not seeing the benefits of this land takeover. Who says that land grabbing doesn't occur anymore. Wake up people Native Rights issues are Human Rights isssues.
