Action does trump theory 99% of the time but the problem is how far away from the rest of society you are by the time you're an urban guerilla shooting it out with the cops and living underground. I like my militancy a little more watered down, so all our people with a fighting spirit don't immediately end up dead or in jail.
This is why street demos are important, until economic collapse radicalizes the majority of society all at once.

@1430gt Even if you're right (and I know of none from upper class backgrounds) so what? The workers movement has a normal tradition of leaders from the middle class. If you've got a social conscience and believe in social justice your background means nothing, its actions that count.
