@CrankUpTheAmps I like conditioners made for damaged or over processed hair but I change the brands a lot. Sometimes if I use one for too long it is no longer as effective but maybe that's just my hair because it is so damaged and dry. One of the brands I like is the Victoria's Secret so Sexy Shampoos and Conditioners. They are reasonably priced if you can stock up on them during their semi annual sales at Victoria's Secret but usually they are about $10-$12 a bottle.

@christenemitri Excellent...thanks for the advice!! Quick question...what type/brand of conditioner do you prefer, if any specific kind, that is?

@CrankUpTheAmps Yeah there is always one side that gets more damaged than the other. My hair is pretty thick and puffy but when I first had the breakage it looked so much thinner and it was noticeable in pictures. I can get most of it into a ponytail now but it still needs to grow to get back to the length of the rest of my hair. The best advice I can give you if you color is to condition everyday and shampoo less often and just be very patient. Good luck sweetie.

@christenemitri I am going to get my color done at a salon next month...just made the appointment! :P I had noticed this breakage in my hair about a year and a half ago...just on one side of my head. I part my hair on the side...and now that side is growing out slowly, but the other side has been seeming to break more. UGH! I think that I am going to part my hair in a different area to reduce further stress on these parts of my hair!!

@CrankUpTheAmps Sorry you had to go through that experience even if you did it yourself. I did what you did in the past when I was in my late teens but because I have been bleaching it so long now I just have a salon do it because it's so hard to only color the roots yourself and not touch the already bleached hair. Sad to day my hair still has not fully grown back even after 2 years but it is getting better and I have a much better stylist now. I hope your hair gets better too! :)

@christenemitri AH! I have the same problem! Although, I have to blame this on myself, not a stylist. I was dying my own hair (blonde) for about a year and a half...every time I re-dyed it, I was going just a bit lighter, so I felt like I should dye it all again. : / Oops. My breakage doesn't look horrible, but it's not great, either. It bothers me because I know it's there! :P haha
