Excellent layout. Hope to see more of it in the future. I counted 41 coal cars. Keep up the good work.

@ByeBye257 Kato, Huberts and a few E&C/LBF. That guy made them under a lot of names.

Are those hues, kato, or mixed coal car? I think you should run a coal with all 3 of the kato es44ac, just saying.

@cprail1997 code 55 is "to scale" but if you have any older car the flanges are to big. The real difference is the height of the rail

Very impressive! I'm fascinated that your train can run without buckling or "clotheslining." Great job with everything. Looks like you are well on the way to a very fun to operate layout.

@BerkeleyGang It's not easy. I do have weight down the cars that are pulled and pushed on.

is code 55 better? is it cheaper than code 80?

@cprail1997 I think code 80 is still cheaper but you get a much better look with the code 55. Not just the rail height but the size and color of the ties. You can have problem with flanges but there are replacements out there. Micro-Trains makes a new medium flange now that should be great for code 55. Haven't got any yet. Most of my cars have their low profile wheels on them. It makes you do better track-work though.
