  • Are these modes important to learn?!?!?!?!?

  • @realjuvelive It depends. They are just another tool or concept. Over rated probably. But I do find them handy. Not much of an answer, I know, but it is something you have to decide for yourself.

  • One, your accent is very cool. Two, thanks for explaining all the modes, I got a perfect score on my music theory test =)

  • @373raindance - Awesome. Well done!

  • what makes it confusing for me is that you start on A when talking about the c major scale .

  • @Grock66 - You figured it out yet?

  • @Grock66 - Video 2 is the A major scale and modes.

  • @Grock66 the 6th note of the major key is its relative minor, 6th note of Cmajor key is A, this is what I can make out of it.

  • pretty cool , very useful, i ve ur ebook and i ve also subscribed ur utube channel ur way of teaching guitar to a complete beginner is excellent. I like ur concept of moving forward as a tortoise not rushing into things.

  • Excellent lesson!

  • @realjuvelive important to the people who want to learn.

  • Wonderful Explanation. I try to explain modes to my guitar students and it's always such an awkward thing to try to explain for the first time. Your chart is going to be invaluable for me from now on. So many different ways to look at the amazing math behind music. I really like your explanation. Thanks for making this video.

  • Incredibly helpful thank you

  • god damn this damn modes, :( i wanna learn zooo badddddd

  • @Grock66 How is that confusing? A is contained in the C major scale; you're just starting on an A and playing a scale by using notes contained in a C major scale.
