懐かしい!!!　中学生の時「ビートポップス」という洋楽ベストテン番組を楽しみ­に観ていました。

この曲も大好きでした。胸キュンの曲たくさんありましたね。フォ­ークソングも英語の先生から歌い方を教えていただき好きになりま­した。洋楽を楽しく一挙に吸収した時代でした。

this song was everywhere back in 1966.on the downtown street corners here in columbus ohio,i once heard it sung by a group of catholic nuns!they also sang "call me".one of my lifes great moments.

someone said it sounded like a commercial. correction - a commercial copied the sound from the Seekers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judith's voice was the real thing and no voice layovers, like they do now to get that powerful sound (even Abba did that to their lead singer to make her sound more powerful and loud).

I like to compare Judith's voice to that of Mary Travers in terms of power. Both groups were wise to allow their voices to dominate their recordings. Their best recordings were the ones where this happened. This is why some people tend to confuse the two groups. They actually used the same formula in their hit recordings. The sounds of the two groups are really distinct actually. But both used two guitars, a base, and a powerful female voice. That seems to be a winning folk music formula.
