I remember when this first came out and I was like WTH is wrong with Zep? They lost it! But that thought couldn't have been any further from the truth....cause it made memories from my wilder days and to this day I still am glad they made it and I still listen to it...rock on LZ!!! forever! And thanx for sharing

@vickiT1968 I don't see where anyone said this was a live recording. Its a studio rehearsal. Do you think this is the song from the actual album? I'm not sure what you mean.

@vickiT1968 You are mistaken.

thanx for this, and where ever you got it. i loved this whole side on the 8-track. i am a huge and somewhat knowledgeable fan of LZ. this takes me back to 1979.driving around on schooldays till 1000 pm. when you had to be home. funny. this "video" was nice to listen to, since i heard it hundreds of times, years ago.

i like the tempo for sure.

@baronsting Funny you say that because I can look at Zeppelin photos (or photos of other bands for that matter) and tell just by their clothes what year the photo was taken.
-
sounds likethe album was botched using tunnel equilizer..is all..not a live recording or bootleg. sorry.
-
@tranceofdances They wouldve probally came out with some good stuff heavy stuff
-
@baronsting I got so good at this, that I have become able to tell what year it is in a photo judging by how much Robert Plant is aged.

In Through the Out Door was in a lot of ways, the closest Zep ever came to having a bit of a "prog rock" element in their writing. There was more use of synths on this album than any other they ever released. This song has a very epic and powerful feel to it because of the synths. Makes you wonder, had Bonham not died what their music woulda became in the 80's.
Its a trip how your such a zeppelin fan you can literally look at a photo and know what tour and year it is by the hair, clothes, drums, jewelry, and such. If your that person let me know with a thumbs up. Can help be in awe of these fools...simply the finest band ever!!!!!!!!

Probably THE most under-rated Zep song... But one of my all-time faves!
