Édouard Batiste (1820-1876) fut organiste à St-Eustache à Paris au milieu du XIXe siècle (de1854 à sa mort). Concurrent de Lefébure-Wély, il laisse une oeuvre d'orgue abondante encore peu connue. jean-luc.perrot3@wanadoo.fr , organiste de l'église Notre-Dame à St-Étienne (Loire, France), interprète ici un extrait d'un Offertoire (op. 40 n° 10) sur le grand orgue de la Marktkirche de Wiesbaden (titulaire Hans Uwe Hielscher) dont la console est inspirée des prestigieux orgues de Cavaillé-Coll.

This offertoire strongly remindes me of Albert Renauds Toccata in d-minor; both harmony and character seem quite alike to me.
By any chance, is there a way to get hold of the sheets? It's really not easy to find...
