This is a video of a busker I saw playing Crazy Frog tunes on the saxophone at Piccadilly Circus Underground station. OK, Call it pure cheese, but it certainly got the punters dancing! I think he was pretty good.

  • This man was a good friend of my dad's. He was a great musician and a lovely guy. I am really sad to say that he died last Sunday. We all miss him so much. Thank you for putting this up here.

  • I am so sorry to hear this news. R.I.P the best busker ever to grace London Underground.

  • Pat was a comic and a great musician, he was also prone to after dinner speaking.

he could always put a smile on your face.and was as sharp as an ice pick at parties. I'm proud and honoured he was my friend for over 30 years He was a man you could easily love dispite any human faults or frailties. He could get away with anything and he often did .Pat the SAX , the crazy frog man, my friend , was an absolute one off ecentric, with a heart Rest easy sweet friend.

  • Pat has been a dad to me since I was 7 years old. Truly the most amazing person that I have ever met. He was such fun to be with and I am going to miss him everyday for the rest of my life. I am so lucky to have spent so much time with him and will hold on to the memories I have. Cant wait to see you again someday Patty. I love you. X Ps thanks for all the people who filmed him busking. Im so happy to have these clips of him, brings a smile to our faces.

  • Typical of Pat to combine it with Yankee Doodle and a whistle! A true star.

  • Pat was my friend and we played together in The Permanent Cure in Dublin in the 70's. What a wonderful musician and what a great guy - funny, witty and intelligent - I learned a lot from Pat. Rest in peace old son - now show Charlie Parker that riff you showed me!

  • So farewell, then, Pat the Sax

One of the all-time great underground acts

With your crazy frog twirling taken to the max,

Or the mellow jazzy jazzer, or the Abba tracks.

Now youre floating free in a nirvana pax

I hope youre blowing hard while hopelessly relaxed

Ill miss you you big dummy, but I dont want to overreact:

Farewell, farewell, the very blessed Pat the Sax.

  • That was the most insane busker ever!
