I like being in this powerful blizzard. I live in Chicago

@crumadonis I looked it up on wikipedia and Atlanta rarely see any snow,so the ppl there arent use to seeing it every year. When they do have snow or godforbid blizzards thats why the city shuts down and ppl freak out. Here in Chicago we get snow year winter and the city is prepared
I was born and raised in Chicago....and still live here :)

Nobody cares about your stupid opinions. Seriously everyone who reads your comments thinks you're an idiot. This has nothing to do with peoples' political views.Use your head, could you imagine if all of Lake Shore traffic was directed through downtown Chicago side streets- it would be a fucking nightmare! We'd have cars stuck all through out downtown- a problem that would cause havoc for days after.
You are an idiot to try to drive home on LSD during a blizzard warning. No sympathy here either. Where were the police? Helping other fools like you who didn't heed the warnings.

@bfuhr123 I walked out there from my house to check out the storm. There was no way in HELL I was driving after 2pm. But thanks for assuming I'm a fuckhead haha.

So what happened to everyone in these vehicles? I assume most of them somehow got out of their cars into shelters, because the later videos show the vehicles apparently empty. Where did they go? How did they get there?
And just as an aside - how the hell is this somehow the fault of "liberals"??

@hebneh You know.. I'm not entirely sure man. Although I am an insomniac I eventually had to go to bed. Some were sill in their vehicles the next day (according to the news report I saw) but I'm sure a lot of people said fuck it and just took CTA on the actual operable streets back home.... figured they'd pay the towing costs later. Many ran out of gas with which to continue to charge their batteries for heat and such... so they were forced to abandon ship.

Thanks for the post! Great job on hanging in there in that storm. Featured it on my blog, brittaj17wordpresscom, hopefully you will reach many other viewers. It will then pay off for all your hard work:).
