After i got my 1000HE i started to get all the jucie from it.
Just then i was able to play games such as Serious Sam II, Portal, Counter Strike Source and Half-Life 2.
I installed Garry's Mod and played it at 20FPS-30FPS, on 1024X600 resolution and everything on Low at DX7.

Specs:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: Intel Atom N280 1.66Ghz@1.95Ghz
Resolution: 1024x600
RAM: Hynix DDR2 1024Mb CL4 667Mhz@780Mhz
Processor chipset: Intel(R) 945GSE Chipset
Video Card: Intel(R) GMA 950 224MB 166Mhz@400Mhz

I used Eeectl to control the fan speed
I used SetFSB to overclock the cpu
I used GMABooster to overclock the Video Card +GMA 950 Modefied drivers

Who said you can't do gaming on a Netbook? :D

  • Is this Netbook good for running Hl2, CSS, and Gmod smoothly? Does it have little, or no lag? WOuld you recommend this Netbook to people? What rating out of 10 do you give it?

    Baddy :P

It really depends on the way you Overclock it.

You can do a 1.95Ghz With voltage change to the cpu and so the battery life will be 1-1.5 hours lower or you can do a 1.8Ghz Overclock without voltage change, so the Battery life will remain exactly the same.

I went with the 1.8Ghz Profile :) A tiny bit slower but a whole lot of battery power then 1.95Ghz.
